Basic Networking Concepts: Understanding of how networks operate, including concepts like IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and routing.
OSI Model: Familiarity with the OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) model and its layers, from physical hardware to application layer protocols.
Networking Devices: Knowledge of common networking hardware such as routers, switches, hubs, modems, and access points.
Cabling and Connectors: Understanding of network cabling (e.g., Ethernet cables) and connectors (e.g., RJ45), including how to properly install and troubleshoot them.
Diagnostic Tools: Familiarity with network diagnostic tools like ping, traceroute, and netstat to help identify and resolve network issues.
Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve common network problems, such as connectivity issues, performance bottlenecks, and hardware failures.
