Position: System Administrator
Experience: 0 to 3 Years
Job Location: Pune
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech, (CS/IT), BSC, BCS, BCA
Pass out Year: 2022/2023/2024
Percentage Criteria: NA
Approx. Package: Between Rs.1,80,000/- to 3,60,000/- Per Annum.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. System Installation and Configuration:
Install and configure operating systems (Linux, Windows, macOS) and software applications.
Ensure all hardware components (servers, storage devices, etc.) are correctly installed and integrated with the network.
2. Network Management:
Manage network configurations such as routers, switches, firewalls, and DNS/DHCP servers.
Set up VPNs and ensure secure network communication for remote access.
Monitor network traffic and performance to detect and resolve bottlenecks or failures.
3. User Account Management:
Create, manage, and delete user accounts and permissions.
Enforce password policies, user authentication, and access control.
Monitor and audit user activity to ensure security and compliance.
4. Security Management:
Implement and maintain firewalls, antivirus, and anti-malware software.
Perform regular system updates and patches to mitigate vulnerabilities.
Monitor and respond to security breaches or incidents (intrusion detection, security audits).
Encrypt sensitive data and implement secure backup strategies.
Skills Required
1. Operating Systems (OS) Knowledge:
Linux/Unix: Proficient in working with Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat, etc.) and Unix-based systems.
Windows: Experience with Windows Server (2008, 2012, 2016, 2019, etc.) and managing Active Directory.
macOS: Knowledge of managing macOS systems, particularly in mixed environments.
2. Networking Skills:
TCP/IP and OSI Model: Understanding of networking fundamentals such as IP addressing, subnets, routing, and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, etc.).
Routers, Switches, and Firewalls: Configuring and maintaining network devices and security systems.
VPN (Virtual Private Networks): Setting up and maintaining secure remote connections for users.
Network Monitoring: Tools like Wireshark, Nagios, and PRTG to monitor and troubleshoot network issues.
3. Security Skills:
Firewalls and Antivirus: Understanding how to configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and antivirus tools to protect the systems.
Security Patches: Knowledge of applying security patches to prevent vulnerabilities.
Encryption and Authentication: Experience with tools and protocols for securing data and managing authentication (SSL/TLS, SSH, multi-factor authentication).
User Access Control: Managing permissions and roles to ensure proper access rights.
